May 17th        Glass Class:  10am-12pm    Open Studio:  1pm-4pm

The class will introduce basic tools and materials used in fusing glass.  You have the opportunity to practice cutting and combining the different materials while designing your 8" plate.  Introductory information for firing glass and loading the kiln will also be available.  All classes are $75.00.  The price includes the materials for your project as well as the fusing and slumping of your piece. 

If you want to make a series of projects, we have a studio schedule listed as well.  Once you have completed a class, you may continue to create during the posted studio hours for an additional $50.00.

**The studio fee covers:  a spot @one of the worktables, use of the scrap glass, use of our slump molds, fuse and slump firing.  All additional glass needed for projects will need to be pre-purchased and is not included in the studio fee.

Minimum class size is 8 people with a maximum of 16.  If fewer than 8 register for a class, the class may be canceled.  If a class is canceled due to insufficient registration, a full refund will be issued.  *Class are for adults only.  Spaces will be held with payment.  Cancellations less than 15 days before the class date are not refunded.

  • 9th ~ 11th Art of the Pot Studio Tour: Fifth annual tour dedicated to the pottery art form. Come out and see the artists in their natural habitat.  See link below for more detail.
  • 9th ~ 11th “Sharing a Passion for Clay 2008” GACA Show
    Greater Austin Clay Artists will be hosting their members show at E4 Gallery (next to Armadillo Clay and Supply) on Mother’s Day weekend 2008. The show will feature work submitted by current GACA members. The event will include artists’ demonstrations on the Saturday of the show.

  • 25th & 26thTexas Clay Festival: The 16th annual Texas Clay festival will be held in the Gruene Historical District of New Braunfels on Saturday October 25th (10AM to 6PM) and Sunday October 26th (10AM to 5PM), on the grounds of Buck Pottery.  This year's show will feature over fifty Texas artisans whose work ranges from functional pottery made from earthenware, stoneware and porcelain to decorative sculpture.  Festival participants will be demonstrating throughout both days.  Admission to the festival is free.  For more information call (830) 629-7975 or visit www.texasclayfestival.com .
