Welcome to the new and improved
ARMADILLO CLAY web site.

This is our first attempt to bring our catalog to you in a current and updateable format.  Please be patient with our progress as we work the bugs out and try to bring you a streamlined web based information tool.  Our ultimate goal is to create an on-line web purchasing system to make your visit here as productive as possible.

Ok, with that said, also bear in mind that we are building this site ourselves and none of us have degrees in programming or web design, so any feed back and/or ideas that you have would be greatly appreciated. (especially since potters wheels and kilns are about the most advanced equipment we normally use)

Our EVENTS CALENDAR and LINKS areas are here to help you get your event information out, so please feel free to send us the information that you would like to see posted.  Send information to Scotty@ArmadilloClay.com . (all information is subject to review before posting and we reserve the right to refuse any inappropriate materials)

We have tried to pack this site with as much usable information as possible (watch for links to color charts and tip sheets) as well as all of the inventory items we can fit.  Product images will be added soon and anything else we can dream up that will make this site as fun and as usable as possible !

Thank you and Enjoy!

A BIT ABOUT US

Twenty-nine years ago in a garage located in the Clarksville area of Austin, TX; potter Craig Freiburger started a small clay company with the goal to provide an economical and convenient source of clay for Central Texas artists. Three years later the booming clay business was renamed Armadillo Clay & Supplies and was relocated to East Austin where for the past twenty six years we have been serving all of Texas and the south west.

Armadillo Clay prides itself on offering a wide selection of high quality products, many of which are manufactured in our Texas warehouse. Our goal is to provide friendly service and the best clay and supplies to potters, hobbyists, schools and industrial customers in a timely and economical manner.

Thank you to all of our customers, families and friends who have helped us along the way and have helped to create an atmosphere where a person is treated like a person and not a potential sale.
