GLASS CLASSES!
Armadillo Clay expanded their line of kilns to include glass kilns when Skutt, our supplier of Ceramic kilns, began offering them.  As a natural step, we decided to stock System 96 glass and supplies for fusing.  Then we decided to take it a step further and travel to Portland, OR for glass classes.  Once we discovered how easy it is to get started in glass fusing, we wanted to offer classes in order to share the information with our customers.  Armadillo Clay's goal is to provide the student with all the information necessary to begin fusing on their own once the first class is complete.  We do offer additional options and projects for returning students in order to expand their knowledge.

Beginning Classes:

The class will introduce basic tools and materials used in fusing glass.  You have the opportunity to practice cutting and combining the different materials while designing your first project.

Introductory information for firing the glass and loading the kiln is also provided.  Additionally, if you own a Skutt kiln we provide recommended firing instructions.

All classes are $75.00.  The price includes the materials for your project as well as the firing and slumping of your piece.  If you want to make a series of projects or continue to expand your knowledge of fusing, we have an open studio schedule.

Once you have completed the beginner's class, you may continue to create during the posted studios hours for an additional $50.00 each visit.  The fee provides the artist with access to the studio, certain tools including molds and one kiln load of projects.

Minimum class size is 8 people with a maximum of 16.  If fewer than 8 are registered for a class, the class may be canceled.  If the class is canceled due to insufficient registration, a full refund will be issued.
*Classes are for adults only.  Spaces will be held with payment.  Cancellations less than 15 days before class date are not refunded.
