Sand Bar is a glossy, chestnut colored glaze that is reminiscent of toasty reduction high fire glazes with beautiful effects that can be achieved at low temperatures. It breaks over texture and has a light orange hue where thicker. This glaze is formulated to allow the clay body to show through where there is texture and looks dramatically different on red ware and white ware.

This glaze is rated Food Safe, but tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
