Terms of Sale
Sales tax of 8.25 % will be added, unless a valid tax certificate accompanies the order or we have a current one on file. The following button downloads a pair of forms provided by the state comptroller where you can claim a tax exemption. If you are eligible, complete the form most appropriate to your type of exemption and fax the completed form to Armadillo Clay at 512-385-1152.
We gladly offer Net 30 accounts to all educational institutions and government agencies provided that orders are placed using official purchase orders signed by authorized agents. Phone orders and purchase requisition orders will not be shipped until the receipt of an official signed purchase order. Net 10 accounts are available to our established customers once certain credit requirements are met. Please contact us for more information. All other purchases are prepaid and on a first come, first served basis. Purchases must be picked up in their entirety at the time of sale, we do not have storage space for partial pick-ups. UPS and U.S. Post
All orders less than 250 pounds are shipped via either UPS or USPS.
Orders from schools and government agencies will be accepted on a net 30-day basis when received on formal purchase orders. These items will be shipped prepaid and charges will be included on the invoice. Packages are sent UPS ground unless otherwise requested and the standard transit time for Texas is 2-5 business days depending on location. Glazes, clay and dry materials are sold by weight and can be calculated according to quantity you are purchasing. UPS characterizes a residential delivery according to how the address is zoned not by presence of a business on the premise.
All clay orders are shipped with USPS Priority Mail
We do not ship kiln shelves or sheet glass through UPS or USPS.
Rush orders:
Rush orders will have an additional charge of $20.00. In most cases, orders will ship the same day if received before 11:00 AM or next day if received after 11:00 AM. All rush orders are pending availability of merchandise ordered.
In the Event of Damage:
Armadillo Clay does NOT ship damaged goods. When your order leaves our warehouse there will be no broken bags, no crushed boxes or drums, no leaking containers, and everything will be packaged as carefully as possible to get it to you in the proper condition. All orders will ship complete, we do not back-order items except on very rare occasions, in which case you will be directly involved/notified. PLEASE inspect your order when it arrives and make any damage notations with the UPS driver. Notify UPS regarding the damage in order to begin the claims process. UPS does have deadlines for filing claims and you must contact them within a timely manner. YOU MUST NOTIFY US WITHIN 3 DAYS, for us to consider responsibility for any missing items.

All orders over 200 pounds are shipped via a freight company.
The shipments are palletized and wrapped. The palletizing fee is $14.00 and each pallet’s maximum weight is 3000# subject to conditions at the delivery location. Give complete descriptions and exact quantities. Please include your complete shipping address and daytime phone number(s).

Additional charges are assessed for residential delivery (zoned by the city not by the presence of a business on the premises), lift-gate delivery, prior notification, unloading or inside delivery.
